The road ahead...

Is change coming?

Betcha didn’t know this about the health insurance reform bill: If it passes the Senate and is signed by the president (in its current state), “every medical insurance decision will be subject to rationing by politics.”

Sure, it’s shorter than a typical Harry Potter novel, but are you really looking forward to the movie?

Getting the current bill past Sen. Joe Lieberman is going to be about as easy as…well, it’s not going to be very easy. In fact, he’s going to stop it cold.

Did you know the “Obamacare” bill would create 111 government agencies, boards, commissions and other bureaucracies -- all overseen by a new health-care czar bearing the Orwellian title "commissioner of health choices?”

“Obamacare?” “PelosiCare?”Either way you spell it, “Nothing in the health [insurance] reform bill that passed the House of Representatives should give investors in dollar-denominated assets any confidence that U.S. policymakers are serious about tackling the government’s structural budget deficit.”

Any way you slice it, “Practicing medicine just got harder,” writes Marc Siegel, MD.

If practicing it got tougher, imagine what paying for it will be like…

Nancy Pelosi (D-SF): PelosiCare?
