Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) has a difficult time telling WTNH-TV what she was doing in Italy while her congressional district was hit hard by Hurricane Irene (video below).
Question: Why does this Congresswoman have such a difficult time explaining herself?
Hurricanes and other disasters aren't the "responsibility" of Congressional representatives, but there is something to be said for the elected official who stays put -- rather than jetting off to Europe on vacation -- to be among his/her constituents.
But then, DeLauro -- like so many others in Congress -- isn't really there for her constituents.

Her beauty proceeds her inability to know her schedule. It makes me wonder what her 'draw' was to have won an office. She must have some hidden talent we are all unaware of such a gift.
