Another (April Fools') day in San Francisco...

...another day of weirdness.

Today was the City by the Bay's 32nd annual celebration of St. Stupid's Day. Hundreds of marchers, jokesters, protesters, partiers and whatever else was roaming around marched from the Embarcadero up Market Street and into the Financial District.

The uniform of the day was, well, anything...and sometimes nothing. Following is a photographic record of just another day in the life of San Francisco.

If you guessed that these guys were naked, you were wrong. The guy in the pink wig (at least I think it was a wig) had on a very tight pair of shorts. The guy with the purple wig...um, yeah, he was naked. (Where were the cops? Well, they were driving the escort vehicles and helping close off streets.)

What's a circus without stilt-walkers?

Eddie Van Halen likes this...

One of San Francisco's long-lost (set of) icons - the Doggie Diner doggies.

Even the old hippies came out for the big party...

Nice dress...

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band called - they want their music back...

Another voice against the Large Hadron Collider...

The standard San Francisco traffic sign...

You call it a "parade," I call it a, um, explosion of humanity?

Tooting her own horn...

Hail, hail, the gang's all here...

Still trippin'...

No Bay Area event, march, party or protest is complete without someone brandishing an upside-down American flag with "AmeriKKKa" emblazoned on it...

The Furries were out in full-force...

The masses gather at the first stop - the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco...

Organized chaos...

The crowd swells in front of the Fed...

The leader of the band (of crazies)...

The movable party takes a break...

Second stop: the heart of the Financial District...

The plaza fills-up...

Color, color everywhere...

A special delivery from the "Sub-prime Mortgage Bakery," outside the Fed...

The Bride of Weirdenstein...

Alice and her Mad Hatter...
